Jean Madrone is an herbalist, somatic experiencing trauma therapy practitioner, abortion doula, and mama living on Squaxin and Nisqually territory in Olympia, WA. In addition to family practice herbalism, they focus on supporting folks in healing from early and complex trauma and co-occuring syndromes, particularly through integrating touch, herbs, and somatic awareness. Jean loves matchmaking plants and people. She loves the magic and the sacred in the everyday and the way that the work that she is honored to do can weave the two together. Jean’s work is grounded in clinical herbalism, southern folk medicine, and elemental magic, and is informed by being a single mama, by being disabled, by complex trauma and recovery. Jean was raised in the South and part of their heart will always be there. They really, really love the mountains and the waters in both places.
