Our venue on Cortes Island is Linnaea Farm, an organic permaculture farm and Cortesian landmark.
Linnaea sits on 314 acres of farm and forest on the shores of Gunflint Lake. It is situated next to K’was Park, and together they form a protected wild area of 500 acres, weaving in between Gunflint and Hague Lakes.
The farm is stewarded by five families in a land trust, under the cooperative model. It is a self-described ecological agricultural oasis, practicing permaculture principles and opening its doors to kids camps, educational programs, and visitors.
Limina Gathering will be held at the Farmhouse and surrounding areas, next to Gunflint Lake. Workshops will happen both indoors at the Farmhouse and outdoors on the meadows, and the skills camp tent will be set up in the orchard on the beach.
Participants may use Linnaea’s extensive trail system to walk to camping accommodations and to explore. Maps will be provided at the gathering to orient people.
Linnaea Farm does not allow dogs onsite, so we are sorry to say please leave your pup at home
